She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Knobel and Bernice Hummel Knobel; her husband Keith Sturgeon; her brother Ralph Junior; her sister-in-law Martha Knobel; and her grandson Robert A. Scharton.

She is survived by: her daughters, Gloria Scharton (Scott) and Diane Busch (Brian); her granddaughters, Tancy Hall (Anthony), Carrie Willoughby (Lucas) and Catherine Busch; and her great grandchildren, Robert S. Scharton, Guyden Hall, Alice and Betty Willoughby.
