He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence R. Grier, Sr. and Myrtle Hutchinson; and his sister Lossie Mae Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Anita Grier; his children, Priscilla Dixon, Pamela Grier, Rodney Grier, Gina Grier and Jennifer Fairweather (Gregg); and his stepchildren, John Rose Jr. and Maria Rose.
