He was predeceased by: his parents, William Reents and Alice Reents; and his brother William Reents. He is survived by: his wife Annette Reents; his sister Sally Merle (Doug); his sister-in-law Susan Reents; and his children, Shelly Blazier (Bud), Lisa Sanders (Cory), Susan Santistevan (Walter) and Shaun Reents (Vicky). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
