He was predeceased by: his brother Roy Stanley Potter. He is survived by: his grandson Andrew; his wives, Bea and Beatrice; his children, Darla Woodman (Joe), Russell Stutzman (Becky), Carla Mullins (Joe) and Tina Lebehn (Snyder); his siblings, Maurice Potter (Mary) and Judith McKee (Potter); and also Judith Potter. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
