He is survived by : his wife Christina Cardenas; his children, Joseph Cardenas (Sandy), Jason Cardenas, Victor Rodriguez (Juanita), Felicia Rodriguez, Bridgette Trujillo (Louie) and Edie Valdez (Jesus); and his siblings, Bobby Cardenas (Nora), Esmeralda Riofrio (Juan), Eva Cox (Mikel) and Gilbert Cardenas Jr. (Angela). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
