He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold Wiederspan and Elsie Wiederspan; his wife Vickie Edson of Brush; his children, Brenda Kaper (Jon) and Troy Wiederspan (Laura) of Fort Morgan; his siblings, Gary (Eileen) of Riverside and Julie McMann (Larry) of Gillette, WY; and his grandchildren, Kory Kaper (Jade), Brandon Wiederspan (Emma), Kortney Linker (Chad), Brayden Snyder (Kelly) and Brooke Gray (Derek). He was also cherished by five great grandchildren.
