She was predeceased by : her parents, Slim McBroom and Lena McBroom; her husband Dick Platz; her son Jim; her sister Betty; and her great grandchild Isabella Jo.
She is survived by : her children, Julie, Joann Hindson of Grand Junction and John Platz of Nucla; and her pet Jake. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
