She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Åsa Bergljiot Skaara Nissen and Peter Lynge Nissen; her husband Steven Hitt; her daughters, Jennifer Melby (Kenneth Melby III) and Ellen Hitt; her grandchildren, Grant and Elizabeth; and her brother Bernt Nissen (Dragica Nissen).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Valley Lutheran Church (63294 U. S. Hwy 40, Granby, CO 80446).
