He was predeceased by: his siblings, Bill, John, Dorothy and Margaret; and his children, Bartholomew Christopher, Joseph Lee and John Daniel.

He is survived by: his spouse Marilu King; and his children, Kathleen Peterson of Greeley, Jennifer Howard (Pat) of Arvada and Chad (Lauren) of Nederland. He is also survived by five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
