He is survived by: his wife Heidi Pitmon Benavidez; his children, Michelle BenavidezReddeg, Ricky Benavidez and Gina Proctor; and his siblings, Alice Cooke, Eloy Benavidez and Mary Vigil Montoya. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
