Kaylynn Marie Christy Obituary

Kaylynn Marie Christy, 28, of Greeley, CO, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023 at North Colorado Medical Center. She was born August 1, 1994 in Greeley to Billy Dean Christy and Lynnell M. (Manzanares) Sherrick.

Kaylynn attended schools in Greeley and Texas and graduated from Florence Crittenton High School in Denver, CO in 2014. Kaylynn worked as an Insurance Adjuster at T-Tech. Since 2004, she has attended Living Grace Baptist Church with her mother.

Kaylynn enjoyed playing Pokemon Go, playing on the Wii and doing arts and crafts with her son, Tyler. She also enjoyed talking on the phone and watching her favorite shows Gilmore Girls and Criminal Minds. Her favorite movies were Nightmare Before Christmas and Monsters University. She also watched many true crime documentaries. Kaylynn loved singing, hanging out with friends and making everyone happy.

Kaylynn is survived by her son, Tyler; her Border Collie, Izabelle; her significant other, Eric Bender, his son, Jeremiah "JJ" Hurbert and their family; her mom, Lynnell M. Sherrick; dad, Billy Christy and his significant other, Marilyn; sister, Brandy Christy and Kaylynn's nieces, Hunter and Harper Smith; adopted sisters, Samantha Gibbs of Challis, ID, Sadie Garner of Meridian, ID and Josie Gonzales of Greeley, CO and Kaylynn's nephew, Mateo; step-sister, Crystal Sherrick; step-brother, Howard Sherrick; grandfather, Jerry Ensminger; uncle, Conrad "CW" Manzanares and his children; uncle and aunt, Michael and Carol Sixx and many other family members.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Barbara Ensminger, Larry and Vivian Christy and her great-grandparents, Bernadean and Frank R. Gomez.

Services will be held at a later date.
