He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Renner and Molly Renner; and his uncle Lee Torres. He is survived by: his children, June Sanchez, Serena (Tom Mendoza), Crystal (Fredis Mejia) and Valentine Anthony Renner Jr. (Warren Avery); and his godsons, Patrick Silva, John Anthony Silva and Rogelio Ybarra. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
