He was predeceased by: his sister Roberta Schrafel. He is survived by: his wife Tillie; his children, Diane Burns Harrison (Mike), Clara Burns Carpenter (Scott) and Rob Burns (Susie); his grandchildren, Michael, Brandon, Arden and Sydney; and his sister Eva May Laird. He is also survived by numerous friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago or the American Cancer Society of Colorado.
