She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Schaul and Bertha Schaul; her daughter Barbalee Elgin; her granddaughter Rebecca Carpenter; and her half-sister Maxine Webb.

She is survived by: her husband Jack Stephens; her sons, Mark of Lakewood and Charles of San Diego; and her grandchildren, Josh and Jennifer. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
