He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Wauson and Tina Wauson (Ballard); his wife Faye Maggart; and his child Teddy. He is survived by: his children, Roy of La Junta and Pat Wauson of La Junta; his grandchildren, Kristi Wauson (Frank Condit) of La Junta, Robert Penrod, Jr. (Lea) of La Junta and Jason Wauson (Geneva) of La Junta; his children, Anna Schwindt (Travis) of Rocky Ford, Katie York (Jordan) of Olney Springs and Justin Wauson of La Junta; his great grandchild Nic Wauson (Alicia) of Walsenburg; his grandchildren, Curtis Penrod (Kayla) of La Junta, Robbi Penrod of La Junta, Dameon Camacho-Wauson (Chevelle) of Avondale and Justyna Camacho-Wauson (Damian) of Avondale; and his pets, Buddy and Peanut. He is also survived by six great great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Peacock Memorial Chapel (109 E. 4th Street, La Junta, CO 81050). A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Revelation Church (1004 Adams Ave, La Junta, CO 81050).
