It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Milton Powell (La Junta, Colorado), who passed away on November 20, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by : his wife Peggy; his daughters, Susan (George Perry) and Jennifer (Jeff Mitchell); his grandchildren, Sarah and Joshua Baker; his nephew Michael Owen; his daughter McKenzi of Oklahoma; and also, Charlee and Dennis Archuleta of Colorado Springs.

The family requests that anyone wishing to honor John's life or support the family please send donations to the Koshare Indian Dancers or Ark Valley Hospice in John's name.
