She was predeceased by: her parents, John McKearn and Mary McKearn; her stepfather Bob Turner; and her siblings-in-law, Dick, Chuck Koehler, Tom Hunt, Pat Rich and Karen Hunt.

She is survived by: her caregiver Ed; her husband Ed Koehler; her daughters, Michele Heye (Otto), Beth, Theresa and Heidi; her grandchildren, Delaney and Hayden Koontz; her siblings, Pat, John and Dennis; her stepbrother Jerry Turner; Delaney and Hayden.

While she adored flowers and created a beautiful backyard garden with Ed, the family asks that if you choose, instead please make a donation in Mary Jo's name to Maui recovery, a bench at her favorite place to walk, Addenbrooke Park, or the Children's Diabetes Foundation in an area of your choice.
