He was predeceased by: his father Leo J. Amaya; his niece Grace; and his nephew Gabriel. He is survived by: his children, Tonia Esparza (Ernest) of Lamar, Calvin "C. J." Amaya Jr. (Jamie) of Ft. Collins, CO, Celeste Amaya (Sean Smith) and Feather Lorenzo (Ramon) of Lamar; his grandchildren, Damien, Julian, Dominic, Marissa, Trey, Deja, Ionna, Sayla, Makayla, Athan, Kenyon, Brooklyn and Kaliah; his mother Carmen Amaya (Martinez) of Lamar; and his siblings, Leo Amaya, Jr. (Dena) of Pueblo West, CO, Cathy Griffith (Don), AJ Amaya (Cheryl) of Castle Rock, CO and Michelle Jaime (Herman) of Lamar. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
