He is survived by: his wife Merced Chavez Alvidrez; and his children, Efrain Chavez, Leticia Gonzalez, George Chavez, Saul Chavez, Marisol Mendiola and Angelica Nunez. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 6 siblings; many other relatives and friends.
