He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Manuel and Elsie Marie Freed (Hostetler); his brother Jack Freed; and his great-nephew Derek Estep (Barbara Moreland). He is survived by: his son Taos Robertson of Midland, TX; and his sister Jo Ann Estep of Lamar. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.
