Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Laverne Melkus of Lamar, Colorado, born in Holly, Colorado, who passed away at the age of 94, on August 30, 2020. She was predeceased by : her parents, Harvey Gurley and Anna Gurley (Ewing); her husband Robert William Melkus; and her siblings, Bill, Emma and Ernest.
She is survived by : her children, Dean Melkus of Lamar and Carol Melkus of Lamar; her grandchild Kacee Williams (Dani) of Lamar; and her great grandchildren, Lawrence and Alaura Lucero. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
