It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Madelyn Maestas of Lamar, Colorado, born in Del Norte, Colorado, who passed away on October 22, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Marquez and Isabell Marquez; her husband Andrew Maestas; her daughters, Geraldine "Jeri" Loveland and Freida Johnson; and her siblings, Tillie Romero, Louise Sorlia, Stella Marquez, Frank Marquez and Ben Marquez.
She is survived by: her sons, Gerald Maestas (Brenda) of McClave, CO and Andy Maestas of Lamar, CO; and her grandchildren, Tim Johnson (Marsha) of Marshall, IA, Carlos Johnson (Ashley) of El Paso, TX, Jayson Loveland (Lisa) of Lamar, CO, Jeremy Loveland of Springfield, CO, Kayce Loveland (Candi) of Pittsburgh, KS, Jennifer Maestas of Lamar and Nathan Maestas of McClave, CO. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
