He is survived by: his wife Betty Chavira; his sons, Scott Chavira of Lamar and Keith Chavira (Tonya) of Lamar; his grandchildren, Chelsea, Brandon, Taylor, Nolan, Riley, Keiton and Brock; his great grandchildren, Sophia and Alec; and his siblings, Vicky Jara of Lamar, Rita Magana (Chendo) of Pueblo, CO, Nay Chavira of Lamar, Ray Chavira of Lamar, Bea Romero of Lamar, Julie Robles (Alvin) of Pueblo, CO and Carla Luna (Alfredo) of Louisiana. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
