He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Edward Brooks, Sr. and Florence Evelyn Brooks (Whipple); his son Matthew Simon Brooks-Uilk; and his sister-in-law Betty Brooks (Holt). He is survived by: his former wives, Carole Hayter and Valerie Uilk; his wife Joyce Brooks (Hatfield); his children, Jeffrey Brooks (Sylvia), Andrew Brooks (Mindy), Daniel Brooks, Summer Dallman (Josh) and Rachel Brooks (Andy Collins); his grandchildren, Jenna Deubler (Mark), Danielle, Mason Brooks, Marcy Cox (Gary), Molly Swires (Josh), Anna Brooks, Taylor Brooks, Chloe, Lucas Dallman, Orie, Hadley and Amos Brooks-Collins; his great grandchildren, Mya, Maria, Eleanor, Simon, Zebadiah and Magnolia; and his brother Joseph Edward Brooks, Jr..
