With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Julia Ann Verdoorn (Littleton, Colorado), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 7, 2025 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her husband Everett D. Verdoorn; her parents, Julius Talsma and Frances Talsma; her siblings, Glenn Talsma (Janice), Robert Talsma (Ramona), Janice Fraser, Karilyn Merchant (Doug), Arta Hull (Cordell) and Mary Godfrey (Clark); and her brother-in-law Jim Godfrey.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Amen (Doug) of Lakewood and Amy Verdoorn of Lakewood; her granddaughters, Carly Amen of Colorado Springs and Caley Botsonis (Jimmy) of Castle Rock; her great grandchildren, Rhea, Cooper and Charlie; her sister Kay Godfrey of Sioux City; and her niece Brenda Stifel.
