He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Christian Haeker and Laura Marie Schleuffer Haeker; and his brother Harold Haeker. He is survived by: his wife Jane Thomas; his children, Dawn Martinsen and Kurt Haeker (Denise); his grandchildren, Chris Hobson (Kara), Kathryn Hobson (Ben Clark) and Beau Haeker; his great grandchildren, Aidan, Amelie, Kian and Theo Hobson; his brothers, Allen (Chris) of Alma and Don (Jan) of Kearney, Nebraska; his sister-in-law Willa Rae Haeker; and his siblings' children, Natalie Hotchkiss, Lori Knutson (Cody), Ann Brusie (John), Lisa Haeker, Scott Haeker and Hal Haeker (Dawn).
