He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel and Andreita; his brother Steve Romero; his sons-in-law, Burl Singer and Steve Owen; and his great grandchild Ava Duran.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his daughters, Paula Duran (Adam), Malissa Owen, Lanita Troyano, Samantha Romero (Robbie) and Luciana Singer; and his sister Terry Romero.
Viewing was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ertel Memorial Chapel (42 N Market St, Cortez, CO 81321). A rosary was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Rita Mission Catholic Church (203 S Main St, Mancos, CO 81328). A Mass was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM at the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
