It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Casilda Lila Olivas of San Acacio, Colorado, who passed away on August 19, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Marcos and Beneranda Olivas; and her siblings, Josefine Olivas, Polonita Velasquez, Pilar Olivas, Pedro Olivas, John Olivas, James Olivas and Mary Valdez.
She is survived by: her daughter Marian (Joey Montoya); her grandchildren, Joey Krystle, Mike Boese of Montrose, Dustin and Dusty Montoya of Show Low, Arizona; and her great grandchildren, Hayzin Zappanti, Harley Montoya, Haulin Montoya and Haystin Montoya. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and adopted grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations for the enhancement of the San Acacio Mission Church in honor of Casilda's memory, and to support the cherished church community she held dearly.
