He was predeceased by: his siblings, Frances Pacheco of Commerce City, Theresa Ruiz of Clifton, Ben Medina of Monte Vista, Chris Medina of Monte Vista and Mela Rivera of Tucumcari.
He is survived by: his spouse Elizabeth Torres; his children, Lorrie Ann Schofield of Arvada, Gary Lee Medina of Arvada and Larry Arnold Medina of Arvada; and his significant other Thelma. He is also survived by six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren.
