He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Deo and Emily Belle Pottorff (Anderson); his sons, Craig and Scott; and his siblings, Bill, Homer, Ernest, Loren, Harley, Neva, Helen, Doris and Lela.

He is survived by: his nephews, Clarence and Jim Wasson; his wife June; his brother Kenny Pottorff (Nancy) of Stratton; his daughter Debbie Mullis (Dean) of Burlington; and his grandchildren, Dustin Mullis, Desiree Amack (Rynal), Kasey Pottorff (Chelsea), Michael Pottorff, Shannon Pottorff, Brittany Denny (Creighton), Brett Pottorff and Bradley Pottorff. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
