He was predeceased by: his mother Linda Herbaugh Sample Winter; his stepfather Bill Winter; his sister Michelle Susan Sample; and his friend Lurch. He is survived by: his father Wayne Michael Sample (Deborah) of Weldona, Colorado; his sister Lisa Winter Wenzel (Adam) of Elmwood; his nieces and nephews, Anna, Kirsten, Stephanie and Nicole; his brother Travis Sample (Shannon) of Cibolo; his nieces and nephews, Kaitlin and Hunter; his siblings, Melissa Zimbelman (Chris) of Las Vegas, Nevada and Austin Shackelford (Natalie) of Longmont; his nieces and nephews, Jordan, Marissa, Dylan, Madison and Lea; and his sister Heidi Winter Northrop (David) of Worms, Nebraska.. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
