It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ermalinda Valdez of Trinidad, Colorado, who passed away on March 16, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parent Semonita Chavez (Aragon); her husband James Valdez, Jr.; her son Bruce Valdez, Sr.; and her father Jose R. Chavez. She is survived by : her daughters, Darlene Valdez of Colorado Springs, Annette Salazar of Colorado Springs and Jeanette Ochoa of Colorado Springs; and her siblings, Lily Valdez of Fort Collins, Louise Padia of Penrose, Gloria Ortiz of Fort Collins, Helen Pullian of Fort Collins, Henry Chavez, Sr. of Las Vegas and Joe Chavez of Fort Collins. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; fifty-four great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Anthony and Leilani Garcia, John and Mellisa Montaño, Isaac and Helen Hernandez, James and Anjelica Fernandez, and everyone who generously helped with donations.
