She was predeceased by : her parents, William Shepperd and Elizabeth Shepperd; her sisters, Doris Hilmer and Avis Becker; and her grandson Taylor Petersen.

She is survived by : her husband Howard; her children, Ricci Petersen (Sheila Brewbaker), Judi Kapperman (Dean) and Sandi Zitek (Kent); and her grandchildren, Richard Bailey, Lisa Bailey, Blair Petersen-Silverberg (Shawn), Charity Caryl (Tim), Deana Kamtz (Jacen), Jay Thompson and Camber Zitek. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
