He is survived by: his wife Lynne Dare (McIlvaine); and his children, Donny Dare (Jane), John Dare (Angela), Jerry Dare (Debbie), Mike Dare (Vicki), Scott Smith (Katie), Jeff Dakin (Julie), Mark Dakin (Synthia), Margo Dakin, Wendy Chafin (Lawrence) and Kristen Slater (Chris). He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
