He was predeceased by: his parents, Juanita Guthridge Morris and Charles Morris; his brother Daniel Morris; and his pet Keigo. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Hashert; his children, Erin Hashert Morris and Gareth Hashert Morris; his siblings, Kay Hise and Steven Morris; and his friend Joe Boyd.

Those wishing to honor David's life may make a donation to the charity of their choice or to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) in his name.
