He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward D. Arthur and Anna Kovacic Arthur; and his sisters, Irma Jane Dent (J. H.) and Frances Vaughn (F. A.). He is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and -nephews and his brothers.
