He was predeceased by: his parents, Crescencio Castaneda Jr. and Carolina Castaneda (Delgado); his son Joseph Aguilar; and his grandson Ky Castaneda. He is survived by: his wife Mary Castaneda; his brother Ivan Castaneda; his sons, Raymond Mora (Michelle), Joshua Castaneda (Kristin), Jacob Castaneda (Jo) and Frank Aguilar (Anjelina); his grandchildren, Devian, Elias, Heavenly, Ezra, Kinley, Keanu, Valencia, Ignacio, Mary, Joseph, Frankie and Giovanni; and his former wife Danette Castaneda (Sanchez). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
