He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George "Bob" and Ada Nelle Laneer; and his children, Gretchen Gentry, Abbe Dye and Slade Laneer.
During his career, he performed at various venues including events such as the annual Sun Microsystems John Elway Celebrity Classic, with benefits going to the John Elway Foundation as well as other Colorado charities.
