He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy (Helmbrecht); his parents, Henry and Clara (Utz); and his siblings, Paul A., Rev. Herbert, Gertrude Kinzer and Louisa.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Neysha, Ryan, Beth, Matthew, William, Kate, Josh, Luke and John. He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.
