He was predeceased by : his parents, Leslie Acton and Ona Mae Acton (McMullin). He is survived by : his wife Bonnie Acton (Parr); his children, Doug Acton (Margaret) and Brinah Vincent (John); his grandchildren, Jeneara Haren (Tyler), Elizabeth Elfelt (John) and Allison Vincent Jones (Alec); his great grandchildren, Elsie and James Elfelt; and his brother Virgil Lloyd Acton (Marsha). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends.
