He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Hansen and Jennie Hansen (Aydelott); his wife Jean Hansen (Curtis); his parents-in-law, Henry and Emma Curtis; and his siblings, Jerry, Bob and Verna Mae.

He is survived by: his son Rick Hansen (Julie) of Cope, Colorado; his granddaughter Carmen of Denver; his daughter Sue Ehrman (Eric) of Platner, Colorado; his grandchildren, Chelsey Hansen of LaSalle, Colorado, Eklin Ehrman of Platner and Elliott Ehrman of LaSalle, Colorado; his daughter Annie Reed (Jeff) of Mooreland; his grandchildren, Brendyn of California, Desiree of North Carolina, Jake of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Sheree of Oklahoma and Samuel of Oklahoma; his son Fred Hansen (Amy) of Yuma, Colorado; and his grandson Quentin. He is also survived by several in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Due to the Coronavirus there will be a graveside service at the Yuma Cemetery in Yuma, Colorado with Mike and Sue Mueller officiating.
