He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Sr. Herold and Bonita Herold (Nay); his wife Rita Herold (Moore); and his siblings, Bonita Steele, Virginia Thorton, Carol Villa and Wesley Herold.
He is survived by: his children, Nita Naugle (Jim) and Chip Herold (Chandra); his grandchildren, Teagan and Tirzah; and his brother-in-law Rich Villa. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
