She was predeceased by : her husband Louis J. Mattes; her parents, Joseph Cannata and Concetta Milardo Cannata; and her brother Nicholas Cannata. She is survived by : her daughters, Karen McCarthy (Frederick) of Seymour and Barbara McNamara (James) of Seymour; her sister Ann Griffith of Old Lyme; her grandchildren, Shari McNamara of Seymour, Brian McCarthy of Derby, Shawna DelVecchio of Seymour and Kevin McCarthy of Seymour; and her great grandchildren, Joshua, Noah Watson, Shannon, Alyssa, Cayla McCarthy, Angelina, Gabriella DelVecchio and Tyler McCarthy.
