He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfonso Maira and Rosa Maira; and his brother Michele Maira. He is survived by: his wife Carmela Maida Maira; his children, Alfonso Maira (Julie) of Golden, CO and Rosa Maira-Kerwin (Zachary) of Portage, MI; his granddaughters, Ashli Maira and Kara Kerwin; and his siblings, Giuseppe, Salvatore Maira of Italy, Carmela Barbieri of Italy and Lucia Cannarozzo of Switzerland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
