He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean-Baptiste Charest and Aurora Lemay Charest; his son Edward Charest; his grandson Edward Joseph Doria; and his siblings, Norman, Lionel Charest, Lena White Sawick, Pauline Fitzgerald Omen and Georgette Doucette.
He is survived by: his wife Elsie Cateon Charest; his children, Alan E. Charest (Margaret Anderson) of Seymour, Anne Marie Ilardi (Joseph) of Ansonia, Deborah Lee (Charlie), Karen Dube Ouellette (Dana) of Meriden and Joanmarie Balisciano (Phil) of Ansonia; his siblings, Bertrand Charest (Ann) and Margaret Fennelly; his grandchildren, Carrie Ann McDougall, Lisa James, Rachel Edwards, Jennifer Anderson, Michael Ilardi, Aimee Jaquez, Lianne Ramia, Peter Doria, Megan Jalbert, James Dube and Brian Dube; and his great grandchildren, Jiorja, Alexander, Arabella, Anica, Isabella, Michael, Caleigh, William, Jack, Alexis and Kailey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through.
