It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lena F. Filippini (Ansonia, Connecticut), born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, who passed away on September 21, 2018, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouse Arthur Filippini; her parent John Ruggiero; and her siblings, Anthony Ruggiero and Josephine Viglione. She is survived by: her parent Filomena Cioffi Ruggiero; her daughters, Linda Zerella of Trumbull, Donna Lamonaca (John) of Shelton and Karen Filippini; her grandchildren, Joseph Zerella (Tammy), Kris Zerella (Danielle), Michael Lamonaca, John Lamonaca (Sara) and Gina Lamonaca; and her great grandchildren, Emily, Carly, Gianna, Sofia Zerella, Charlotte Lamonaca and Audrey Lamonaca. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
