It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin A. Silva of Ansonia, Connecticut, born in Carver, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 30, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his mother Mary Lopes; and his siblings, Charles B. Silva, John "Jack" Silva, Michael J. Silva, Natalie V Pina, Isabel Simmons and Ann Marie Thomas.

He is survived by : his son Joshua Silva of Oakville; and his brother Francis R. Silva of Waterbury. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
