He was predeceased by: his wife Charlotte Benjamin Sperling; and his parents, Richard J. Sperling and Louva Cook Sperling. He is survived by: his children, Douglas J. Sperling of Ansonia, Joanne Herriott (Derek) of Oxford and Susan Sperling (Lester Pannone) of Ansonia; his brother Ronald Sperling of Stratford; his grandchildren, Melissa Pannone of West Haven, Vincent Pannone of Ansonia and Schuyler Sperling (Anastasia Ruiz) of Torrington; and his great grandchild Izabella Sperling of Torrington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through.
