He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret Conlon; and his pets, Gretchen and Sully. He is survived by: his father John Henry Hicks of Derby; his close friend Jacki Craig; his daughter Cassandra Hicks; his siblings, Jonathan Hicks of Derby, Tesa Cook of Ansonia, Kathy Lanigan of Ansonia, Kelly Kahyaoglu of Ansonia and Colleen Sadick of Seymour; his former wife Krista Larsen; and his close friend Stormy.
