She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon Gumkowski and Josefa Gumkowski (Gorski) of Branford; her husband Theodore A. Tichy Sr.; and her siblings, Irene Pankosky, Stella Chomicz, Walter Gumkowski, Ted Grant, Cestaw and John.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Tichy DiCorleto (Anthony) of Madison, Nancy DeBerardino (Donald) of Charlestown, RI, Ted Tichy Jr. (Mary Mullins) of West Milan, NH and Gretchen Higgins (Jeffrey) of Madison; her grandchildren, Alexandria Tichy, Jessie (Tichy), Megan Higgins, Taylor Higgins, Timothy Higgins and Emily Higgins; her great grandchildren, Warren Paine and Juliet Paine; and her sister Vadis Dymarczyk of Branford. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
